Dehumidification Technology

The process of dehumidification is used to reduce humidity and increase the rate of drying. The professionals at Home Solutions of America’s subsidiaries understand how to balance evaporation and dehumidification through the use of desiccant or refrigerant techniques. By carefully monitoring drying equipment and the environment, they are able to reduce moisture levels deep within the structure and its contents, thereby lowering the risk of future problems, such as mold amplification.

Our technicians employ custom techniques to dehumidify, clean, seal, and deodorize hard surfaces and structures. These processes reduce the chance of floor buckling, acoustical tile damage, and water damage in dead air spaces between walls. Prior to this, we will provide written estimates that include detailed scope and technical reports.

-Desiccant Dehumidification
Used in all temperatures and climates, this method uses desiccant, which is a substance that has a high affinity for water and is used as a drying agent, to draw moist, humid air from the structure and return warm air. Desiccant dehumidification works best on materials that have a low permeance level, such as wood floors and framing.

-Refrigerant Dehumidification
This is the most common method of drying, and works best in materials that have a high permeance level, such as carpet, drywall and soft goods.
